The weekend has arrived in Tokyo! Sorry to make all you in Western hemisphere jealous, but hopefully this will lessen the sting as you're getting ready for school/work this morning: patch 1.4d has officially released on the Google Play store! 1.4d will be the final patch in the 1.4 patch series. While patch 1.4d only makes some minor adjustments (more on that soon), the entire 1.4 patch brings huge improvements to Horror at Adesaw: Prologue. I'm pleased to say that with this release Prologue can be considered a (mostly) complete game, and probably won't be seeing many updates in the near future. The dev team (i.e. me) will now be looking forward to developing the next as-yet-unnamed game in the series. For those interested, read on to get a specific log on what changes were made in 1.4d. 1.4d log notes
--Made a QoL improvement regarding the backpack. Previously, if you tried to look at/examine/read something in your backpack when it was empty, all you would see is a "back" button with no feedback. Now, if you try to look at/examine/read something in your backpack and it's empty, you will get some text saying your backpack is empty and the game will automatically bring you back to the main action box. Nice! --Fixed a logical error that could occur in the rec room when using the remote with the TV/fireplace. In the resulting text, there is mention of your character taking a drink from their flask even if the player had never taken the flask out of the desk drawer. This has been fixed so the game checks first if you have the flask in your backpack, and if you don't you'll get some feedback explaining you need to find your flask before you can 'enjoy' the fireplace/tv. Aand that's it! Patches 1.4a-1.4c fixed all the major bugs that had been found, and 1.4d was mostly a mop-up operation. However, there's always the possibility of more bugs lurking out there so if you find one please let me know. Well, I'm off to enjoy my Friday afternoon on this beautiful sunny day in Tokyo with a stiff drink. Now where did I leave that flask...
